The Story Behind Enabled Talent

Transforming hiring for people with disabilities through technology, empathy, and innovation.

Our Story

More than one billion people globally live with disabilities—and yet, most hiring systems overlook their potential. Despite growing awareness and government mandates, the unemployment rate for people with disabilities remains alarmingly high across countries. In Canada, 27% of the working-age population identifies as disabled, but over 850,000 job-ready individuals remain unemployed. This isn't due to a lack of education or talent—over half of them have post-secondary qualifications—but because existing hiring systems are not designed to recognize or support diverse needs.

Enabled Talent emerged to help change that.

The story begins with Amandipp Singh, whose own life was shaped by similar challenges. Born with partial vision, Amandipp navigated a world that constantly underestimated him. He had to find alternative ways to learn, grow, and build his path—often without access to the very systems meant to support inclusion. But instead of giving in, he chose to lead.

Over the past decade, Amandipp has worked at the intersection of inclusion, employment, and education. He launched national initiatives promoting self-employment for people with disabilities, designed inclusive training programs, supported policy development in workforce accessibility, and collaborated with nonprofit and corporate leaders across sectors. These experiences led to impact across thousands of lives—but they also exposed a recurring gap: Most solutions were fragmented, local, or too slow to scale.

Our Vision

In 2023, while conducting research on workforce participation and digital inclusion, Amandipp began to see the transformational role technology—especially AI—could play. He envisioned a single platform that could not only help employers find talent with accessibility needs in mind but also support job seekers with smart, personalized tools to prepare and connect with the right roles.

From that vision, Enabled Talent was born—a comprehensive, AI-powered hiring platform that:

For Job Seekers

Takes into account the nature of a person's disability, their skills, and their accessibility requirements

For Employers

Helps employers become more inclusive through tools for DEI compliance, inclusive job postings, and accessibility audits

Personalized Coaching

Offers personalized coaching and resume tools to job seekers through a built-in AI agent

Integrated Solutions

Provides API and white-labeled solutions to nonprofits, HR firms, and educational institutions—so no one is left out

Our Team

Amandipp didn't build this alone. He partnered with experts like Jeby James (Tech Lead), Swathi Shekar (Training & Product Development), and Chitwan Mallhi (HR & DEI Strategy), all of whom brought their own lived experiences and decades of professional work in AI systems, inclusive training, human resources, and accessibility-first product design.

Today, Enabled Talent is supported by leading accelerators, mentors, and innovation hubs across Canada. It has onboarded hundreds of job seekers and dozens of early employer partners, with a growing waitlist of organizations eager to meet their inclusive hiring goals.

"What started as a personal journey has become a collective mission. Enabled Talent is reimagining hiring—not just to close employment gaps, but to build a workforce where no one is left behind."
